Worcester County Sheep Producers

Welcome to Worcester County Sheep Producers Association

Worcester County Sheep Producers Association

The Worcester County Sheep Producers Association Website is intended to be a resource for sheep raisers and others desiring to support the sheep and wool industry in the eastern half of the commonwealth.

Please take the time to read the information on the “About Us” page and get to know us a bit better.

In addition, please visit the Baaay State Blanket Page. The Blanket Project has been very successful and we have decided to give them their own web presence in order to provide a more convenient portal for our Baaay State Blanket customers.

A letter from the Vice President

Welcome back to the  Worcester County and Eastern Mass Sheep Association web page.

I suspect several of our producers have not seek our new site yet so let me review the changes we have made.  First, or course, we have updated the entire site using a format that will be more receptive to using more pictures and features of our local producers.  We have also eliminated the separate “Officers” page and, as you have probably already seen, we have listed our officers on the Home Page.

A lot of work has gone into the expansion of the “Resources” page.  I have been in contact the businesses on the resources list and solicited  support from them for our organization.  I would encourage all of you to use these supporters and when you do, let them know that they are listed on our web page and thank them for their support.  Also, if you have local businesses who should be listed, send them to me and we will add them.  We intend to collect data on visits to our site and for those supporters that opt to place a link on our site we will track that data as well.  Those numbers will help us in marketing our organization.
You will also note a link to the Baaay State Blanket Program web site.  They have done a great job in getting it together and have asked me, and will be asking you directly, for pictures of your farm and your sheep.  Give them your support.

I continue to update my  blog called Tom Colyer’s Corner and hope you continue to access that blog from this web site.  The blog will be used by me to provide updates impacting the sheep industry on the local and national level.  The great thing about it is I can do it in real time.  The blog is up-dateable by me everyday if necessary.  Check it out……. if there is a problem getting there, you can also try www.tomcolyerscorner.blogspot.com
